Haemostasis

Haemostasis is a system of highly interconnected mechanisms of complex actions between the blood vessels, platelets and plasma proteins that prevents blood loss by keeping the blood within the damaged vessel. This is considered to be the first stage of wound healing and involves fibrin formation or blood coagulation.

Third version of the high-end instrument from the “Max Generation”, the STA R Max 3 is part of the Stago’s approach to design innovating systems that meet the needs of biologists and clinicians.

Combining Viscosity-Based Detection System and new EPC module, laboratories will benefit from the most robust detection system for clotting assays and from an automated pre-analytical check ensuring high quality of results.

Time saving and quality improvement while maintaining high performance is part of the objectives sought for the STA R Max 3. Increased throughput, higher loading capacity, real time and proactive alerts including a Visual Alarm Device to alert the user of the analyser status, reduced user maintenance will provide efficiency and productivity to operators.

Its new software features will bring security, traceability and expertise to every lab: user rights management to deal with staff authorisations, audit trail to meet regulatory requirements for cybersecurity feature, rules engine to standardise patient results validation and tools to support accreditation process.

Innovative and scalable, STA R Max 3 will fit all lab organisations, connected to an automation track system or not, streamlining sample management and workflow.

STA Compact Max systems

The “Max Generation” instrument family is expanding again with our new STA Compact Max 3.

The third generation of the STA Compact Max, includes the EPC Module in order to be totally standardised with the STA R Max 3 and to optimise sample management with optional controls of patient results before sending them to the LIS.

Dedicated for mid-volume throughput laboratories, the STA Compact Max 3 has been designed with a new hardware and improved ergonomics to optimise your productivity. Including a new fourth generation cap piercing module enlarging sample tube compatibility and utilising the new maintenance free Single Resolution Pipettor (SRP) module to further improve its robustness, real time and proactive alerts, reduced user maintenance will provide efficiency and productivity to operators. As well as a Visual Alarm Device to alert the user of the analyser status (optional).

New software features provide more flexibility including the management of multiple lots and calibration curves on-board. With regards to the Cybersecurity, the software features bring security, traceability and expertise to every lab: user rights management to deal with staff authorisations, audit trail feature, rules engine to standardise patient results validation and tools to support accreditation process.

STA Satellite Max

Newest arrival of the “Max Generation” family, the STA Satellite Max is dedicated for low-volume throughput laboratories. Its new design enhancing ergonomics and ease to use, has been developed with a reliable hardware for continuous result reporting and minimal user maintenance thanks to maintenance free needle and fluidic system.

The STA Satellite Max new graphical user interface equipped with Windows 10 has built in accreditation process, including new features such as extended traceability (archiving of entire patient results up to 6 months and easy pen drive data export), extended QC management including Westgard rules and multiple calibration curves per assays.

Building on the heritage of the STA line, the Satellite Max offers the efficiency of Stago’s unique Viscosity based detection system together with high quality reagents for routine and specialised assays offering maximum sensitivity and reproducibility to each laboratory.

ST Genesia system

Breakthrough innovation in Thrombin Generation (TG).

ST Genesia is a complete solution to measure thrombin generation in patients’ plasma, 100% automated, 100% standardised and 100% innovative.

The Thrombin Generation Assay is a global test able to provide an evaluation of the coagulation potential of a plasma sample. It measures the formation of thrombin during the whole coagulation process, including phases of initiation, propagation and inhibition.

ST Genesia offers a fully automated system to measure thrombin generation in PPP, with unique features like the once daily calibration, the reference plasma and the temperature control which allow standardised results across laboratories.

User friendly and easy to use, ST Genesia is the first walk-away solution to measure thrombin generation which may fit to any laboratory environment.

Its embedded software, with a nice and modern graphical user interface, provides all the routine features expected by laboratories in terms of calibration, quality controls and data management.

Thrombin Generation: CAT

Thrombin Generation: CAT

Calibrated Automated Thrombrogram is a comprehensive system to measure Thrombin Generation based on fluorescence according to the Hemker & al. method. (Research Product)

CAT system allows the use of PPP or PRP samples. As a global assay, Thrombin Generation reflects the balance between all procoagulant and anticoagulant substances. It is an excellent solution for laboratories to obtain picture of coagulation:

  • sensitive to any (combination of) drug
  • sensitive to any (combination of) haemostasis disorder
  • valuable aid in the development of new antithrombotic or haemostasis drug

Platelet Aggregometers TA-8V & TA-4V
ST Genesia system
Platelet Aggregometers TA-8V & TA-4V

Semi automated analyser for the exploration and evaluation of platelet function in a citrated platelet rich plasma.

A reliable, fast and effective instrument with an ergonomic design.

Platelet function disorders are associated to bleedings.

In conjunction with the clinical examination of the patient, platelet ability to aggregate can be evaluated by Light Transmission Aggregometry (LTA).

LTA is considered the “Gold Standard” for testing platelet function, because it provides important information that is essential for the diagnostic work-up of patients with platelet function defects.

  • Constitutional thrombopathy (Glanzmann thrombasthenia, Bernard-Soulier, etc.)
  • Acquired thrombopathy
  • Follow-up of anti-platelet treatments
  • Platelet hypersensitivity

The scalable and adaptable solution for all our projects

All of the models in the STA R Max range have a universal connection mode, meaning they can be integrated into any automated track on the market.

All versions of the STA R Max can handle capped tubes, plus the system architecture will let you add an urgent sample tube manually, even in connected mode.

Their large internal rack capacity adapts perfectly to all types of tube flows while maintaining an optimum TAT (Turn Around Time).

The analyser is designed to avoid all unnecessary moving of tubes on the track. This makes the system fully compatible with a lean approach, since a tube can be stored on the analyser through to the technical validation of the patient file, after which it is released. This prevents the automated track from being “clogged up” with Haemostasis tubes waiting to be processed (pending reruns and additional parameters). It also removes Haemostasis-specific constraints (no need to store in a refrigerated cabinet or to set up a temporary storage module for Haemostasis tubes on the track), as reruns and parameter additions are ended once the tube is released.

Benefits

  • sensitive to any (combination of) drug
  • sensitive to any (combination of) haemostasis disorder
  • valuable aid in the development of new antithrombotic or haemostasis drug
